What began in 1816 as a direct marketer of horticultural products has today developed into a full-service integrated solutions provider dedicated to accomplishing the promotional marketing objectives of a multitude of clients across the nation.

Stark Bro’s Fulfillment Services® began as a subsidiary of Stark Bro’s Nurseries a little less than two centuries ago. While the company’s first customers were in the horticultural business, new clients that sell all types of merchandise have been added over the years.

In 1994, the company’s main client, Foster & Gallagher, a $400 million catalog marketer with more than 20 catalogs, acquired Stark Bro’s. In the late 90s they also acquired Michigan Bulb, a sweepstakes company with more than $120 million in sales. Stark Bro’s acted as the operations and fulfillment provider for Foster & Gallagher’s sister division as well as other independent catalog companies. The management team eventually decided to phase out the horticultural side of the business; however, Stark Bro’s has consistently remained very profitable.

Under the ownership of Jack Alexander since 2001, Stark Bro’s has pioneered several new value-added services and technologies that have helped the company to continually grow. From the start, bringing a process engineering approach to its fulfillment operations has enabled Stark Bro’s to provide innovative solutions to customer's existing problems.
