Product loss and order-packing errors are virtually non-existent at Stark Bro’s. We perform scheduled physical inventory counts, and our inventory control process benefits from Controller+™ functionality that prevents inadvertent or unauthorized changes to item-count data. Additionally, our use of remote, radio-frequency (“RF”) scanners contributes to both inventory control and order accuracy.

Each item is bar-coded by the vendor or labels are applied upon its arrival to Stark Bro’s distribution facility. Subsequent RF scanning of each item packed for a customer or unpacked from a returned order offers reliable order validation. Every pack station in the warehouse is equipped with scanning equipment to provide verification that orders contain the correct items in their proper quantities. All material movements require products to be scanned and each RF scan transaction is transmitted and processed in real-time, providing immediate feedback to Stark Bro’s associates and keeping inventory location and status data accurate to the second.

This ensures that we can stop an unshipped order if is is cancelled before it leaves our facility even if the order is in the process of picking or packing.
